Almond date hearts

Benefits: Naturally sweet and satisfying with healthy fats. *You could interchange any nut of your choice or, for a real middle eastern vibe, just fill with tahini!

Method

  1. 1

    Cut each pitted date on the diagonal and then align the 2 halves to make a heart shape.

    In the cavity put an almond and a little almond butter and then join them and press together firmly*

  3. 3

    Melt some dark chocolate (or your personal choice) and carefully dip the ‘hearts’ - the chocolate helps to hold the shape.

  4. 4

    Decorate with some sea salt or freeze-dried raspberries or blitzed pistachio nuts for a lovely green colour! (optional)
